The sequential issue of the magazine of the University Botanical Gardens come out of print

Dear Friends,
In this issue of the “Leaf – Botanical Observer” magazine, we invite you to learn more about the botanical illustrations over the centuries – an art form born out of scientific inquiries. The article on the Mediterranean vegetation presented in our collections in the oldest Black Sea botanic garden - Balchik, will contribute to your marine and culinary mood. On the pages of the magazine, you will also be able to read about the Holm oak, an interesting representative of the Beech family, as well as about the chayote, a fruit that is little known in Bulgaria - known as Mexican cucumber.
What social and educational initiatives we have in University Botanic Gardens and how do they are shared with botanical gardens throughout Europe.
Further, we will acquaint you with the volunteers who this summer brought in an especially fresh atmosphere to the information and education activity at the botanical gardens.
