University Botanical Gardens offer botanical workshops and interactive botanical activities for children.
We offer a variety of educational modules—developed under the PLANTSCAFE project: Botanists Explore in Schools and Botanical Gardens—a European Union project aimed at promoting the study of natural sciences in formal and informal education, as well as activities tailored to the needs and interests of our visitors. Through the means of inquiry-based learning, games, observations, and direct contact with nature, children will get acquainted with the role of Botanical Gardens in the conservation of plants in our world. They will closely observe the work of scientists, step into the role of researchers and guides. The program includes a range of activities designed to stimulate children’s interest in the plant kingdom. Creative tasks, role-playing games, and scientific experiments allow the young explorers to engage with the rich species diversity found in Botanical Gardens.
The activities are designed for children aged 7 to 12. Groups: up to 15 children. The training is conducted by certified specialists from the University Botanical Gardens.
