EDUCATIONAL PRACTICE IN A REAL WORK ENVIRONMENT FOR AGROECOLOGY STUDENTS

On April 8th, 2025, the University Botanical Garden in the town of Balchik hosted another session of the “Practical Training in a Real Work Environment” program for 11th-grade students specializing in Agroecology and Plant Protection & Agrochemistry from the Vocational High School of Agricultural Management in Dobrich.

During the session, the trainees practiced a variety of horticultural skills, including pricking out and transplanting container plants, planting and performing sanitary and shaping pruning of succulents, spring pruning of roses, as well as fertilizing greenhouse plants.

As part of the botanical network, the University Botanical Garden in Balchik offers an ideal setting for student internships, educational workshops, and other scientific and outreach activities.
