Cymbidium lowianum is a large lithophytic or epiphytic species of orchid with long, curved stems with 12 to 40 flowers, surrounded by bracts. Blooming from autumn to late winter or spring, it is native to Myanmar, China, Thailand, Cymbidium lowianum prefers cooler conditions for optimal growth. It is found in shady, high mountain forests at an altitude of 1200-2400 m.
