In connection with the Children’s Day, the Botanic Garden in Sofia opened doors for studious children and parents

Traditionally, the University Botanic Garden takes part in the initiative of the Children’s Fair of the Easyart Foundation for the provision of educational, proactive and interesting games for children of different ages and their parents on the occasion of Children’s Day. Children’s Day is celebrated in almost all countries around the world. The First of June is connected with the signing of the Geneva Declaration for Children’s Rights in 1924. The document is focused on the topics concerning the problems and needs of the children. Humanity must give children all the best it has regardless any considerations of race, nationality, and faith. The child should be in a position to develop properly – both physically and spiritually.
This year, as always, there was held the game “Inquires” in which hundreds of families sought popular and less known edible species, studied information about them, and became acquainted with their habitats, and with their valuable nutritional qualities. The wonderful weather made the feast even better, and we believe the time spent in the open in our Secret Garden has left our visitors with an unforgettable memory.
